Your library is yours. It stays in your iCloud.

TL;DR
Your library lives in your iCloud private database; household sync runs through CloudKit Shared Zones between your devices. Minner Labs operates no backend for the catalog itself and never sees your library content.
Keepers Pro subscriptions are handled by Apple and RevenueCat. They see an anonymized device identifier and your purchase events — nothing from your library.
What data the app handles
When you add an item to your library, Keepers stores its title, author or director, year, format, who added it, and any optional fields you fill in (condition, where you bought it, edition notes). All of this is written to your iCloud private database.
Metadata fetched from external services (TMDb, Open Library, UPCitemdb) is cached locally on your device via SwiftData with a 90-day expiration. The cache lives only on your device.
Scanned barcodes are processed in-memory by the iOS Vision framework. They are not stored.
What we collect
For your library: nothing. Minner Labs operates no backend for the catalog itself. We do not receive your library contents, item details, search history, or usage analytics. There are no analytics SDKs, crash reporters, ad networks, or marketing pixels in the app.
For Keepers Pro subscriptions: Apple processes the payment — we never see your card details. RevenueCat receives the purchase event from Apple along with an anonymized identifier (Apple's Identifier for Vendor) so your subscription can be verified across reinstalls and household devices. RevenueCat does not receive any of your library data.
Third parties
Keepers depends on a small number of external services, all called directly from your device:
- Apple iCloud / CloudKit. Used for persistence and household sync. Subject to Apple's privacy policy.
- Apple In-App Purchase / StoreKit. Processes payment for Keepers Pro and delivers the receipt to the app. Card details never reach Minner Labs or RevenueCat.
- RevenueCat. Manages Keepers Pro entitlements. Receives purchase events from Apple and an anonymized device identifier so we can verify your subscription across reinstalls. Does not receive library data. Subject to RevenueCat's privacy policy.
- TMDb. Looks up movie and TV metadata. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
- Open Library. Looks up book metadata by ISBN.
- UPCitemdb. Fallback UPC lookups for video formats.
AI features
v1 of Keepers does not use AI. If on-device AI is added in a later version (for example, recognizing a movie poster from a photo), this section will be updated and any inference will run entirely on your iPhone using Apple Foundation Models. Nothing will be sent to a cloud model.
Children's privacy
Keepers is rated 4+ and is not directed to children under 13. Because we collect no data, the app does not knowingly collect information from any user, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top of this page will update, and material changes will be noted in the app's App Store release notes.
